| We woke with early ship board noises. It appears
that Goltis, Andriy and Constantin have slept well in the safe surroundings of
the marina - I can see in Goltis's face that he is more rested, but his eyes
now sits deep. I have not seen life slowly disappear in front of my eyes like
this before. My hopes and suggestions for him to start drinking are quickly
shot down. We will spend one more day in the safety of the
marina before we set sail to Cuba. I will leave with a heavy heart if Goltis
has not taken any fluids by the time we leave. He really does not look well. By the evening time he said that he is feeling
fine and he is still determined not to drink any fluids for the next few days.
With thoughts of him, I must look like the most "troubled mind" here in Las
Palmas's friendly "Sailor's bar". |
