Day 39

I once again lay in bed until the heat drove me out. I once again did not sleep well. My tongue sticks to my palate as I start my 3rd day without food or water. We now have land on our Port side, but still some way to go to reach Samana bay and then the town of Samana. I am disappointed. I hoped that we would lie docked by the time I woke up, but it is still a far way to go. One day suddenly feels like forever. It is a warm and the sun is beating down on the deck. I am very fatigued and dizzy at times, but for the most of it not feeling too bad. My sense of humor and eagerness to talk has gone. I just want to be left alone at the moment.

Constantin is still struggling - he needs land (and juice) desperately. I can hear him sigh as he sits next to me. Goltis is doing well. All of us is keeping a close eye on the horizon. It was a very long journey. The end is so near.
