Day 10

A dream come true (I wonder sometimes wonder why people would say - it's like a dream come true) I should have paid more attention to the team's medical status today, but I just could not tear myself away from the ship's bow. I only came in after sunset. Personally I have never felt this great in my life. This is day number one in my life with the rest to follow in rating. But enough about me. Constantin and Andriy is looking and feeling good. Andriy is hungry. As it is late in the evening Goltis is now almost done with day 10 without food and water. I am at a loss for the words that I feel about this. At the one hand amazed at his determination and on the other hand unable to believe that anybody with so much "lust for life" would take such a risk. Anatoli commented on his changed voice a few days ago which I forgot to document. I saw his face in the low cabin lighting this evening and he looked like a skeleton. When asked when he will start drinking he said that it depends upon God. This evening I will also pray to his God and ask him to let Goltis drink.
