| The day started for
me when the engine vibrations stopped - we are now running on wind only.
I can hear the sails as I lie in my bunk. We started the morning with
a breakfast of beer and salt fish. So much for the Colgate fresh breath
feeling after I brushed my teeth this morning. The beer made me sleepy
and I spent a lazy afternoon on the deck until Constantin told me that
he is not feeling good today. I did a quick medical check up this afternoon
and at last my readings correlated to what medical science predicts.
Constantin and Andriy are both hypotensive and hypoglycemic. I may well
mean something as a doctor on board (except to be arm wrestled with).
The fact that the guys has not had any bowel movements for almost two
weeks definitely does not help. Goltis is looking the best of the three
and his parameters are still all in the normal range. God has not yet
given him an answer to how long his dry fasting spell will last. I sigh
as I see his capillary refill time (peripheral circulation) drop to
4 seconds. This does not forecast anything good. He tells me not to
worry. It seems that we are back on our old regime of not sleeping very
well on board - his ongoing dehydration makes my nights even longer.
