Day 29

The day started like it started all over the world after Christmas celebrations. Slowly. The sun was out and there were some clouds in the sky, but it would make a nice day on the water. We have 160 miles to the Island. Everybody is just holding on to that. The wind has quieted down some, but we should be there tomorrow afternoon. For a moment I thought with sadness that  our journey is over, but the feeling disappeared quickly as I thought of all that I have learnt and how keen I am to get back to land.

Andriy is not doing well today. His says that his vision is blurry. I quickly checked all that I can and it appears to still be within the normal range. His urine dark, but clear of Ketones. Still positive for protein at the moment though. He drinks only a cup of water a day and I suggest that he takes 3 - 4 today. I am concerned about him as he wearily stands up to come and get some fresh air into his lungs. Constantin is doing very well. He says that he could fast longer, but if we reach land tomorrow - that was the mission.
